CIBC Headquarters, CIBC Square

General Info

About the Project

Project Description

CIBC's relocation to its new global headquarters in Toronto's South Core represents a transformative shift in workplace design and functionality. Spanning 960,000 square feet across 25 floors, the innovative "ecosystem" approach fosters interaction and cross-department collaboration, redefining the traditional office environment.

This cutting-edge workspace features destination spaces, including cafés and libraries spread across three floors, promoting casual interactions and team connectivity. The unassigned seating model encourages flexibility, with strategically designed open collaboration areas equipped with sliding acoustical panels for spontaneous, small-group meetings. Larger gatherings take place in enclosed meeting rooms, while smaller, enclosed spaces support focused work, ensuring employees have the right environment for every task.

CIBC’s South Core headquarters embodies a forward-thinking investment in its workforce, prioritizing communication, collaboration, and adaptability to support the evolving needs of modern work.
