Canada’s largest museum of world culture and natural history, the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) was transformed through bold new architecture that added the new crystal galleries, renovated the historic buildings and improved public amenities.

Attracting over one million visitors every year, the ROM required a fully integrated surveillance/CCTV system, access control and monitoring as well as burglar protection to proactively protect persons and cultural property from theft, vandalism, fire and destruction. A new central security operations control centre was also provided. Power and data flexibility was introduced through combined underfloor and ceiling distribution systems.
