OTMH is approximately 1.5 million SF, built on a 50-acre greenfield site.
The new 457-bed patient-centred hospital provides a full range of health services, including complex continuing care, rehabilitation, renal dialysis, acute inpatient care, maternal child care, inpatient and outpatient adult and child and adolescent mental health; and secondary and tertiary level programs.
The facility includes four main sections: (1) 5-storey complex for continuing care and rehabilitation; (2) 10-storey inpatient tower with operating theatres, pre-and post-operative support functions; (3) 4-storey therapeutic and diagnostic imaging wing with emergency care, diagnostic imaging, ambulatory clinics, maternal/child services, adult mental health and a penthouse; and (4) 2-storey main hospital entrance which connects the rehabilitation block to the inpatient tower block.
