Hamilton Princess Hotel & Beach Club (Phases 1, 2, 3)

General Info

About the Project

Project Description

The renovated Hamilton Princess Hotel reaffirms its status as Bermuda’s most iconic luxury destination, gracefully overlooking the crystalline blue waters of Hamilton Harbour. Fondly known to locals as “The Pink Palace,” the hotel blends historic character with contemporary refinement across more than 30,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor reception spaces and meeting rooms. With 157 guest rooms, a 59-berth marina, an infinity pool, and Bermuda’s only open-air dining experience, the resort offers a vibrant yet relaxed sense of place in the heart of Hamilton.

A key component of the renovation is the reimagined fitness centre, where lighting plays a central role in shaping an energizing and wellness-focused environment. The gym lighting is designed to support both performance and comfort, balancing higher light levels for clarity and safety with carefully controlled glare. Crisp, neutral-white illumination enhances visibility of equipment and movement, while layered lighting strategies introduce visual depth and rhythm. Accent lighting highlights architectural features and circulation paths, creating a space that feels motivating, modern, and aligned with the hotel’s luxury ethos—inviting guests to engage, recharge, and perform at their best.

At Intrepid, the hotel’s celebrated open-air restaurant, lighting becomes an experiential tool that reinforces its connection to the harbour and the surrounding landscape. A warm, intimate glow is achieved through a combination of decorative fixtures and concealed architectural lighting, allowing the ocean views and culinary presentation to remain the visual focus. Subtle contrasts and soft gradients define seating areas without overpowering the open setting, while careful attention to color temperature ensures skin tones and food appear rich and inviting as day transitions to night. This luxury hotel overlooks the stunning blue waters of the Hamilton Harbour. Conveniently located in the city of Hamilton, the hotel has over 30,000 SF of indoor and outdoor reception areas and meeting rooms. With over 157 rooms, a 59-berth marina, infinity pool, and Bermuda’s only open-air dining experience, the hotel is fondly referred to by Bermudians as the ”The Pink Palace”.
