Celebrating Excellence: Announcing Our 2024 Promotions

 

We are excited to recognize and celebrate the promotions of our exceptional team members at Mulvey & Banani, along with our subsidiaries—Mulvey & Banani Audio Visual and Mulvey & Banani Lighting. Their dedication, creativity, and leadership continue to drive our success and shape the future of our company. Congratulations to all on this well-earned achievement!  

 

 

Michael Yan, P.Eng., Senior Associate


Michael is promoted to Senior Associate at Mulvey & Banani. With over 15 years at the firm, Michael has played a key role in delivering excellence across several high-profile projects, including 33 Yonge Electrical Equipment Replacement, Scotia Plaza Concourse Revitalization, Holt Renfrew 50 Bloor Street West 3rd Floor Renovation, Royal Bank Plaza South Tower Generator Replacement, and the Cologix Montreal 7 Expansion. Michael's leadership extends to overseeing multiple renovation and expansion projects with a focus on precision and innovation. He earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Ryerson Polytechnic University in 2007 and has been an integral part of our team ever since. Michael is a driving force behind many of our base building upgrade projects, combining his deep technical expertise with a forward-thinking approach to project management. Outside of work, Michael holds the title of Mulvey & Banani’s undisputed foosball champ and enjoys badminton, pickleball, and his ongoing love-hate relationship with golf. When he's not tackling electrical design challenges, he's exploring smart home innovations and keeping up with the latest in tech and science. Harsharan Sohal, P.Eng., Senior Associate


Harsh is promoted to Senior Associate at Mulvey & Banani. With over a decade of electrical engineering experience, Harsh joined Mulvey & Banani in 2019 and quickly became an integral part of our residential and mixed-use project team. He has led key projects like OpenROM (Phases 1 & 2), 91 Front Street, and the PWL Office Towers in Bermuda. Harsh masterfully manages design and technical aspects, balancing document production, team leadership, and client interaction with ease. Known for his dedication, innovative problem-solving, and efficiency, Harsh consistently delivers excellence across all his work. As a leader, he fosters clear communication, seamless coordination, and project accuracy across divisions. Outside of work, Harsh enjoys traveling, hiking, and aspires to climb world-renowned peaks like Kilimanjaro. Click here to view Harsh's profile.

 

Jordan Perrier, P.Eng., Senior Associate


Jordan is promoted to Senior Associate at Mulvey & Banani. Jordan is an experienced Project Engineer who has been with the firm since 2017, specializing in large DBF and DBFM revitalization and renovation healthcare projects. Since joining the team, Jordan has been instrumental in leading major projects, including Trillium Hospital Missisauga site, managing all sub-disciplines with exceptional technical proficiency and strategic oversight. Jordan is also known for mentoring staff and contributing to the successful completion of the Bayer’s Lake project while actively pursuing other Healthcare P3 projects. Outside of work, Jordan enjoys running, golf, astronomy, music, squash, and biking. Click here to view Jordan's profile.

 

Alan Lam, P.Eng., PMP, LEED® Green Associate™, WELL® AP, Associate 


Alan is promoted to Associate at Mulvey & Banani.  First joining Mulvey & Banani in 2018 after graduating with a degree in Electrical Engineering from Toronto Metropolitan University in 2017, Alan rejoined the team in 2024, bringing with him an impressive set of skills and a strong track record in managing people and leading teams. Alan is known for his expertise in problem-solving and extensive experience with P3 projects, which remain a favorite area of focus for him. He has contributed to significant projects such as Irving Oil and Holt Renfrew and now leads large-scale initiatives including 2150 Lakeshore and the Fairmont Winnipeg Renovations. Alan also holds LEED and WELL certifications, demonstrating his commitment to sustainable and healthy building practices. Outside of work, Alan enjoys playing pickleball, is a passionate video game enthusiast with specialties in Super Smash Brothers and Mario Kart 64 and is the proud owner of a beloved Pomeranian named Kiwi. Alex Muller, Assoc. IALD, Associate 


Alex is promoted to Associate at Mulvey & Banani. With a degree in Interior Architecture, Alex has been with Mulvey & Banani for four years, consistently demonstrating remarkable attention to detail. Her dedication to coordinating and leading projects has been a significant asset to the team’s success. Alex transitioned her focus to lighting design while working in architectural and interior design. Her background in designing retail and commercial spaces has enhanced her approach to lighting in these sectors. Alex brings expertise in hospitality and commercial lighting, along with audiovisual production. Alex has played a crucial role in major projects, including Nobu Hotel, Restaurant & Residential, Ontario Teacher’s Pension Plan, BDP Quadrangle, Hyatt Centric Hotel, Etobicoke Civic Center and Sage. Her leadership and precision have contributed greatly to these projects' outcomes. Ayat Saleh, P.Eng., SmartScore AP, Associate


Ayat is promoted to Associate at Mulvey & Banani. Ayat is an experienced Building Intelligence Engineer who has been with Mulvey & Banani for nearly three years. With extensive experience in designing, analyzing, and commissioning electrical power distribution, communications, lighting controls, and security systems projects, Ayat has become an integral part of the Building Intelligence division. Her technical expertise and international experience, particularly in the transportation and government sectors, have been instrumental in delivering large-scale, complex projects across various sectors. Since joining the team, Ayat has primarily focused on projects in the healthcare and corporate and commercial sectors, using her commitment to engineering excellence to meet and exceed client and project needs. Fluent in both Arabic and Kurdish, Ayat brings a unique global perspective to her work. Outside of her professional contributions, Ayat is a dedicated parent, an avid hiker, and a routine volunteer for numerous causes, always going above and beyond in all aspects of her life.  Click here to view Ayat's profile.

 

Bhargav Prajapati, P.Eng., Associate 


Bhargav graduated from Ryerson University with a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and first joined Mulvey & Banani in 2016. After a brief time away, Bhargav returned in 2023, bringing his advanced technical knowledge and leadership skills back to the team. Bhargav initially gained extensive experience in the Tenant Improvement division, working on projects in the corporate and commercial sectors with a focus on the technology and financial industries. He now leads a team in the Base Building division, where his expertise continues to drive project success. Throughout his time at Mulvey & Banani, Bhargav has demonstrated an exceptional understanding of the systems he works with, and his expertise has been instrumental in mentoring a rapidly growing team. He has skillfully managed upwards of thirty fast-paced projects at any given time, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. Outside of work, Bhargav enjoys golfing and keeping up with the latest news about space exploration. Tom Yick, B.Sc., CTS, Associate


Tom is promoted to Associate at Mulvey & Banani. Tom graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Sound Technology and Digital Music. His career portfolio spans projects across the globe, with experience in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Australia. As a member of Mulvey & Banani Audio Visual, Tom has contributed his expertise to projects in the residential, corporate, and healthcare sectors. Fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin, Tom brings a wealth of consulting experience from the APAC region, offering a unique and valuable perspective to our team. Known for his strong initiative, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills, Tom has quickly become a key mentor to others. His work on significant projects such as the CIBC North Tower, CHEO, and NOBU has highlighted his exceptional capabilities and dedication.
