Eric Cornish stands as the youngest Executive Vice President in Mulvey & Banani's 65+ year history, showcasing exceptional leadership and commitment. A graduate with high distinction from Carleton University in Electrical Engineering, he has quickly risen through the ranks, now also holding a seat on the Board of Directors. Under his guidance, Mulvey & Banani achieved the Deloitte Best Managed Companies Gold Standard recognition, further solidifying his impact within the firm.

Eric's extensive portfolio comprises over 420 projects, including major urban landmarks like CIBC Square and The Well. Specializing in electrical systems and mission-critical power engineering, he's adept at integrating electrical, ICT, Security, and AV systems, with an emphasis on sustainable solutions like Net-zero and LEED Platinum. His work is influential in sectors ranging from commercial towers and transportation to data centers and cultural facilities.

A significant facet of Eric's professional journey includes hands-on experience in the field of electrical construction on the contractor side, which started at a young age when Eric spent summers and weekends installing electrical equipment working alongside his father in their family-owned electrical construction company. This continued throughout university and has instilled in him a practical approach to engineering and an invaluable insight into business operations, aspects highly regarded in the industry.

His membership in 11 engineering affiliations across Canada highlights his commitment to staying current and improving the industry. Recognized for his approachability, work ethic, and dependability, Eric has also established Mulvey & Banani's mentorship program, nurturing the next generation of engineers.

Beyond his professional accolades, Eric is actively involved in community efforts, volunteering at the North York Harvest Food Bank and participating in the CN Tower Climb for Nature. In a nutshell, Eric's blend of leadership, technical aptitude, community involvement, and hands-on industry experience positions him as a leading figure in the architecture, design, and construction industry.
