Project Description

Located at 1190 Main Street West, this 1,340-bed student residence consists of two distinct buildings—197,700 SF (east) and 373,800 SF (west)—linked by a pedestrian bridge, totaling 571,500 GSF. Designed to enhance student life, this residence integrates modern amenities with a focus on accessibility, community, and sustainability.

Our lighting design services play a key role in shaping the atmosphere of this new residence, balancing functionality, energy efficiency, and visual comfort. Thoughtfully placed lighting enhances communal areas, study spaces, and residential suites, ensuring a well-lit environment that supports both productivity and relaxation. By integrating smart lighting solutions and energy-efficient fixtures, the design aligns with McMaster University’s commitment to sustainability and student well-being.
