Lakeshore West Line: Long Branch GO Station

General Info

About the Project

Project Description

The proposed redevelopment of Long Branch GO Station is part of Metrolinx’s GO Expansion program. The upgrades include new entrances and tunnels with elevators, modified platforms with heated shelters and a snow-melting system, and enhanced parking with pedestrian pathways and bike facilities.

This project reflects 55 years of evolving standards for GO Transit and will significantly enhance the user experience at the regional rail station. It’s a key component of the broader GO Transit expansion, aiming to start electrifying its lines next year, with partial implementation in 2025 and 2026, and full completion by 2032.
