330 Bay Street - ATS Upgrade Study & Recladding Project

General Info

About the Project

Project Description

The 10-storey infill office building at 330 Bay Street, built in the 1980s and located in the heart of Toronto’s business core, is undergoing a significant transformation. Bordered by heritage masonry buildings, this early curtain wall structure has experienced systematic failures, prompting the Client to initiate a full recladding program. This project presents an opportunity to reimagine and modernize the building's façade while preserving its prominent place in the downtown landscape.

Mulvey & Banani provided Electrical Engineering services, including an Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) replacement study to enhance reliability and power distribution within the building. Our scope included implementing power connections for exterior site lighting, modifying the lighting control system to suit renovated areas, reviewing and updating the lighting control system design and documentation, and establishing power distribution for new façade lighting. This project also addressed structural updates that enhanced the building's presence and illumination in Toronto's skyline.
