Domenic is all for progressive engineering that challenges the status quo with part innovation, part perseverance- not for the faint of heart, but inherently exciting!
Domenic became President of MBII in 2019. Domenic’s leadership in systems engineering for large healthcare, aviation and technology projects is at the core of MBII’s success in these markets. An active member of the engineering community, Domenic is a member of the new CSA Z320 Building Commissioning Standard, Chair of the Electrical Technical Subcommittee and the CSA Z318/Z8001. Domenic joined MBII in 2001 shortly after graduating from Ryerson University.
Domenic was introduced to international airport projects working on the Lester B. Pearson International Airport New Terminal 1, for which he played a key role in the commissioning (as well as the design and engineering of the Transborder/ International Pier), followed by work on the Mumbai International Airport, India. Domenic is MBII’s lead on large DBFM healthcare projects, recent projects include Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (including a benchmark setting, award winning Power Distribution System), Joseph Brant Hospital, Hamilton and Providence Care Hospital, Kingston. Other multi-stakeholder projects for mission critical facilities include the CBC Headquarters and Canwest Global.
